Scott Mitchell Hall, CHS, DMT is a Hyperbaric & Dive Medicine Specialist since 2012. Mitch began his hyperbaric career as a Certified Mixed-gas Commercial Diver, Diver Medical Technician, Hyperbaric Chamber Technician and Emergency Medical Technician. It was through his training in the treatment of injured divers that he discovered the healing effects of hyperbaric oxygen in a wide variety of injuries and diseases. Mitch was inspired to begin a journey into the medical profession where he sought to utilize this knowledge in a clinical setting.
Mitch studied hyperbaric medicine through the International Board of Undersea Medicine, the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine, the Commercial Diving Academy and the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). He received his board-certified Hyperbaric Specialist credentials through the American Board of Wound Healing while working as a hyperbaric chamber technician for a wound care physician and podiatric surgeon. He is also credentialed as a certified Dive Medicine Technologist and Advanced Hyperbaric Technician with the International Board of Undersea Medicine
After years of dedicated work Mitch founded Hyperbaric Health Services, a hyperbaric consulting service, and Hyperbaric Health Services – Palatka, a comprehensive hyperbaric & wound care center. Established in 2019, Hyperbaric Health Services – Palatka offers advanced wound care including hyperbaric oxygen therapy combined with the latest advances in wound care modalities. Mitch serves as Hyperbaric Health Services – Palatka’s Facility Administrator and Safety Director where he remains hands on with patient education, assessment and treatment. He is well versed in hyperbaric oxygen mechanisms of action, treatment indications, patient safety, and facility operations.
Mitch achieved the Board-Certified Hyperbaric & Dive Medicine Instructor designation in 2021 through the International Board of Undersea Medicine. He is called on to travel to locations, local & international, to train divers, allied health professionals, clinical physicians, and others in Hyperbaric and Dive Medicine Principles & Practice. This UHMS approved 40-hour course is a highly sought-after introduction to hyperbaric & dive medicine which opens the door to a career in hyperbaric medicine for medical and non-medical professionals alike.
